More Noise

Another track from my abandoned noise project. This piece was built on three sounds taken from the sketches originally made for the project. Listening again I was struck by how far I came from really making noise. No matter how noisy things get there's still some tonality lurking just below the surface, or sometimes right in the open. I think that to make noise one has to banish the idea of making music. You have to listen differently and look for different relationships among the sounds than you would making music (even "noisy" music). I still have it in mind to do a noise recording eventually, but I've begun to see that I'll have to really immerse myself deeply into the process in order to do it well.
